1. WHAT CAN THE CLINIC DO?

 Bring us what you have. We'll explore what's possible.

• Can I bring something I've had sitting in a drawer for years?
  YES. Nothing greater than bringing new life into a dormant piece.
  
  
• Can you use the material from something I no longer wear?
  YES. It is intended this way. It's good for the material and even greater for the soul.
  
  
• Can you create a piece of jewellery from something that wasn't originally jewellery?
  YES, upon analysis. As long as the size, materials and structure allows, we’will do our best.  
  
• Can you combine pieces that I already own?
  YES, nothing greater than giving potential to dormant material. 
  
  
• Can you turn a necklace into earrings?
  YES. Let's work on the structure.
  
  
• Can you make two mismatched earrings work together?
  SURE, let's keep an open mind.
  
  
  

2. REPAIR, ADAPT & TRANSFORM 

Sometimes a piece doesn't need replacing. It just needs a little twist to evolve into something new. 

• Can you resize my jewellery?
  YES. But it depends on the original material.
  
  
• Can you make my necklace shorter?
  YES. All chains can be shortened. 
  
  
• Can you make my necklace longer?
  YES. But only upon analysis can we guarantee the same chain. 
  
  
• Can you adapt a piece so I can wear it differently?
  YES. This is what the Clinic is all about
  
  
• Can you repair jewellery that wasn't bought at Inédita Matéria?
  YES. We've done it many times on pieces coming from high-end brands like Tiffany & Co. or Chanel. 
  
  
• Can you repair watches?
  Some chains can be repaired; others should be handled in a specialized watch store. We do not replace the watches' batteries. 
  
  
• Can you work with heirloom jewellery without damaging the essence of the piece?
  YES. Slight adaptations that don't damage the core make the whole difference.
  
  
• Can you set stones?
  Only upon analysis. It really depends on the model. 
  
  
• Can you turn an old piece into something completely different?
  YES!  Let's do it. 

3. MATERIALS & WHAT'S POSSIBLE

• What materials can you gold-plate or silver-plate?
  Any metallic combination that includes copper, brass, or sterling silver. 
  
  
• Can you gold-plate jewellery that isn't made of gold?
  YES. As long as it includes copper or brass. When in doubt, we experiment upon the client's approval and are willing to take the risk. We do not plate tin. 
  
  
• Can you make a new piece from my gold or silver?
  

  It is possible to create certain pieces in gold and silver, as long as we work around the existing hallmark. For example, if you want to melt down broken or unused gold bracelets and incorporate them into a ring, we can preserve the hallmark and add material around it.

  
  
• Can you melt down my old gold and make something completely new?
  YES, depending on the desired model and if we preserve the hallmark.
  
  
• Can you work with copper or brass?
  YES, but always upon analysis of the model.
  
  
• Can you work with stones?
  YES, but always upon analysis of the model.
  
  
• Can you cut my stone into a different shape?
  NO. Unfortunately, that skill requires equipment we do not have in the atelier. 
  
  
• Can every material be transformed?
  Not every material, but most of them, upon analysis. We are willing to experiment as long as the client is also willing to risk a break or damage. 

4.  YOUR PIECE, YOUR STORY

• Can you work with jewellery that wasn't bought at Inédita Matéria?
  

  Yes, we have already fixed products from high jewelry brands like Tiffany & Co, Chanel, and even Dior. Regarding products from our collections,  they have a lifetime guarantee. 

• Can you work with inherited jewellery?
  

  Yes, we can do small adaptations so it fits your everyday wear without losing the essence of the piece. 

• Can you help me transform something sentimental into something I actually wear?
  YES. We do our best in every handle.
  
  
• What if I don't know what I want to make?
  We assist you with the process from day 1. When in doubt, don't hesitate to gather ideas from Pinterest or social media so it helps us better understand your style.
  
  
• Can you help me design something based on my style?
  YES. That's what we're here for.
  
  
• Can you combine different pieces and keep their stories alive?
  YES. Nothing more stimulating than a new challenge!

5. THE PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

• How long does a repair take?
  It can go from 2 days to 3 weeks, depending on whether the service is exclusively made within the atelier or we need to outsource certain techniques and services.
  
  
• How much does a repair cost?
  

  The final price includes materials, the cost of the transformation and local VAT (23%). It can go from 5 euros to 600 euros. 

  
  
• Do you give an estimate before starting?
  YES. We inform the client of the value before starting the transformation, via phone number (WhatsApp) or email.
  
  
• What if I don't like the result?
  

  We do our best so that situations like this are avoided. We accompany you in the process closely from day 1, understanding your needs and asking relevant questions and requirements. We finally hand it to you directly. Any feedback or small modifications are not charged upon delivery. Any modification that requires consistent intervention will be charged upon budget analysis. 

  
  
• Do you guarantee the work?
  YES. Upon analysis and the state of the piece after the client's delivery. 
  
  
• Can you do an urgent repair?
  YES. Depending on the complexity, and only on non-precious metals. Silver and gold repairs should be brought into the atelier at least 1 week in advance, as the repair is outsourced to a partner's workshop.
