Jewelry Care Guide

Care Guide

Wearing

Avoid direct contact with perfume, creams, and hair products, as these can alter the surface of delicate materials such as amber, resin, and pearls.

We recommend removing your pieces before swimming, bathing, or exercising. Light rain will not affect the piece; however, an immersive bath can compromise the finish.

Storing

Store each piece separately in the soft pouch or lined box provided by Inédita Matéria, to prevent friction and scratching.

Keep away from direct sunlight and high humidity, particularly for organic materials like amber and pearls, which are sensitive to environmental changes.

Cleaning

Clean gently, using a soft, dry cloth.

  • Amber & other natural resins should be handled with care. Avoid chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners; instead, wipe lightly to maintain its natural glow.
  • Organic materials can be cleaned with a soft cloth and, if needed, a slightly damp surface, never abrasive materials.
  • Freshwater pearls benefit from a gentle wipe after wear to remove natural oils and preserve their luster. Internal tip, their luster benefits from natural light rather than closed within a drawer.
  • Metallic platings (Gold & Silver) require particular attention. These surface treatments are delicate by nature and may gradually fade with wear. To preserve their appearance, avoid friction, moisture, and contact with chemicals. Clean only with a dry, soft cloth, never polishing agents, as these can remove the plating
  • Aluminium requires minimal care; a soft cloth will maintain its finish.
  • Sterling silver (used in our ear hooks) may develop a natural patina over time. This can be restored with a specialized silver cloth, avoiding contact with other materials.

A Note on Time

Subtle changes in color, texture, or finish are part of the life of the piece. These evolutions reflect wear, environment, and the unique nature of each material.
